The GreenWorks 24252 leaf blower may as well be a storm in your hands with speeds capable of being dialed up to 150 MPH. I know it may seem a bit overwhelming, but the leaf blower’s intelligently-engineered tube will allow you to maintain control while blowing those leaves back to where they belong! The Greenworks 24252 comes with a new GMAX 40-volt, 4.0 amp hour lithium ion battery that increases the leaf blower’s power, and run time. In our tests, it’ll last around an hour duration at full power. No need to worry about cords anymore!
In our review of the GreenWorks 24252, the most improved upon aspect of this in comparison to it’s competitors is its lightweight. The leaf blower weighs in at about 7 lbs, allowing you to maintain solid control, while not becoming fatigued. The gas leaf blowers often times come with a backpack because they’re too heavy to carry around for a few hours each day. That’s one of the huge benefits from an electric leaf blower vs it’s gas competitor. Not only that, but being electric, The GreenWorks 24252 is 100% emission free, for a clean and better environment.
All in all, we’re ranking the GreenWorks 24252 leaf blower at the top of our best leaf blowers of 2018. While it may not be as powerful as a gas leaf blower, you’re looking at comfort in both your pocket and hands. After all, who wants to hold a 25 lb gadget for four (4) hours a day? Not us! However, if you’re a landscaper, we recommend checking out the Poulan Pro 967087101 Backpack Blower.
The Toro 51619 leaf blower is a one-of-a-kind beast. This puppy is capable of blowing out speeds of 250 mph. Not necessarily the most practical, but some people enjoy having their toys being capable of incredible things. It’s also, well, a bragging right (guys, we’re talking to you). The speed does have one huge pro to it, though, and that is wet leaves. Your traditional leaf blower will not allow you to move leaves after a rainy day. The Toro 51619 will. No more making excuses for yourself on the gloomy days!
One of the cons of the Toro 51619 is that it is indeed corded. With that much power, how could it not be? The leaf blower comes with a cord storage hook, however, as well as a built-in cord lock. No more accidentally stepping on the cord and unplugging it while hard at work with the Toro 51619. They really tried to make the cord on this blower out of the way with adding a vacuum bag allowing you to easily store it, and hang it on your garage wall. We didn’t see any issues with the cord given all of the components attributed to it.
Quite possibly the best feature of this leaf blower, is that it is also has a vac mode, and comes with a vac bag as mentioned (not only used for storage). The Toro 51619 will allow you to vacuum up the leaves comfortably, instead of raking them onto a tarp, or putting them onto a wheelbarrow and moving them to the woods. An all-in-one vacuum, mulcher and leaf blower, you will not find a more powerful combination outside of the Toro 51619.
The BLACK+DECKER LSW221 leaf blower is coming in rated as our best budget leaf blower of 2018. At it’s low cost, with all of it’s features, how could you argue that it’s not? With budget, though, it does come with some inferiorities to it’s more pricey competitors. If you’re looking to easily clear debris from patios, driveways, and other hard surfaces around your yard, look no further than this leaf blower.
One of our favorite features of this leaf blower, is how lightweight it is, and how truly quiet it is. If you’re like me, and you have used a gas leaf blower, you know that you should be wearing headphones. Otherwise, your ears are going to be ringing for a few hours. With the BLACK+DECKER LSW221, you don’t have to worry about this, or worry about having your neighbors upset with you over four hours of constant, loud noise. This leaf blower is as quiet as a mouse, without the bad habits of a mouse.
The leaf blower blows at approximately 130 mph. Not too little, not too much, but with the sleek design of the BLACK+DECKER LSW221’s blowing tube, you will be able to maintain amazing control and force those pesky leaves, and debris out of their lackluster positioning! The leaf blower is operated on a 20V MAX 1.5Ah lithium ion battery that is capable of holding it’s charge for up to 18 months.
With the Black+Decker LSW221 we recommend sticking to harder surfaces, with little debris or leaves. As mentioned previously, one con to this leaf blower is that it isn’t too incredibly powerful. But, on a budget, it will get the job done!
The GreenWorks 24012 leaf blower speaks for itself. It works on green (grass, leaves), on a budget. It has a simple, and lightweight design that allows for easy use, and controllability. If you want to get into specifcs, it weighs approximately 5.6 lbs. Significantly lighter than the leaves you’re going to be getting rid of! If you’re worried about the leaf blowers durability at its extremely low price point, don’t be. It comes with a 4 year warranty. So, even if anything does happen to the GreenWorks 24012, you’re covered.
The leaf blower comes equipped with a 7 Amp motor that allows for up to 160 mph blowing power. It is designed to get the job done efficiently, and quickly, on a budget. The leaf blower is required to have a cord to power it, but has a Cord Lock feature that will make sure you’re not stepping on any toes (even the leaf blower’s). The cord is not included, so make sure you have one handy, or purchase one at the same time so there’s no delay on using your new leaf blower toy.
In our review, we found that the GreenWorks 24012 leaf blower performed amazingly well when blowing debris out of your garage, and patio. Leaves, dirt, small rocks stand no chance against this leaf blower, and will leave your outside looking pristine after a few short minutes. If you’re going to use the leaf blower on your yard, we recommend a few extension cords. The GreenWorks 24012 is certainly powerful enough on its budget. We highly recommend this leaf blower.
Everyone has heard of BLACK+DECKER for setting the standard and maintaining innovation within the industry, but have they heard of the BLACK+DECKER BV5600 leaf blower? If not, they’re about to. Saying that this thing is incredible at it’s price point, would be an understatement, and quite literally, an insult to this leaf blower. Prepare yourself to have your socks blown off, pun intended.
Like it’s competitor, the Toro 51619, the BLACK+DECKER BV5600 leaf blower, is both a vacuum, mulcher, and a blower all in one, but at a fraction of the price. We tend to focus on the leaf blowing section of it, as it has incredible power (250 mph blower, with two speed selections), that operate on a 12 amp motor. One of the speed selections is for flower beds, making sure that the power of it will not decimate everything in it’s path. The other, is for decimating those pesky leaves that are covering your yard.
A lot of the time, you have to wait for a good day to go out and leaf blow. With the BLACK+DECKER BV5600 leaf blower, there’s no need. It is capable of blowing wet leaves whereas a lot of it’s competitors are not. No more making excuses for yourself because your equipment isn’t powerful enough. This leaf blower, simply put, is. Step up your game with the BLACK+DECKER BV5600!
The Toro 51621 leaf blower is a great, medium tool that will surpass your expectations. On top of it’s blowing capability, it is also a mulcher, and a vacuum if you’re interested in disposing your leaves that way. It is an industry leader proven by controlled extensive laboratory testing that most competitors don’t partake in.
The leaf blower is capable of producing blowing speeds of 250 mph allowing you to rid of the heaviest of leaves. We saw it in our testing, wet and mowed leaves become superheavy, and are hard to get rid of with traditional leaf blowers. The Toro 51621 leaf blower is going disperse those leaves for easy moving. No more having to worry about not leaf blowing on a rainy-ish day.
The Toro 51621 leaf blower comes with the vacuum tube allowing for incredible vacuuming abilities, in case you want to simply just move the leaves instead of mulching them. The bottom-zip bag is also included. One slight con of this powerful leaf blower, is that it requires a cord. However, it has a cord storage hook allowing for easy, and out of the way storage. We didn’t find this a big deal in our testing. Keep in mind, you’re going to want an extension cord, and the Toro 51621 leaf blower DOES NOT come with one.
As a 3-in-1 leaf blower, vacuum, & mulcher, the Toro 51621 surpassed our expectations, and we expect as much for other consumers. It felt as if we found another feature each time we used it. You will not be upset with the power, and stability of this leaf blower. We highly recommend!
We’ve always been a fan of DEWALT products, and that doesn’t change with the DEWALT DCBl720P1 leaf blower. If you’re looking to clear your yard of leaves in an efficient manner, this is the best leaf blower for you. Serious power, without fumes and capable of hitting speeds of up to 90 MPH.
The DEWALT DCBl720P1 comes equipped with a 20V MAX 5.0 Ah Lithium Ion battery the provides the efficiency, and power that you are looking for in a leaf blower. The battery has gone through rigorous testing, and is extremely durable. DEWALT has introduced an innovative axial fan design that will maximize the air output, and runtime on the leaf blower. It has a variable trigger, as well as a speedlock allowing you to not damage more fragile areas within your yard such as a flowerbed. Taking those 90 mph speeds to them could be potentially harmful.
The leaf blower, as mentioned, is electric. This is a huge benefit in many different situations. For starters, gas leaf blowers tend to have a lot of trouble starting up. It can sometimes take you up to 15-30 minutes to start one. With the DEWALT DCBl720P1 leaf blower, you pull a trigger and you’re online. Easy enough, right? With electric, comes less maintenance. Don’t worry about changing spark plugs, or air filters. Even if something does go wrong, the DEWALT DCBl720P1 leaf blower comes with a 3-year limited warranty. If you’re looking for a durable leaf blower, that will clean your yard in style, we recommend the DEWALT DCBl720P1.
The Hitachi RB24EAP leaf blower comes in with a hard hitting, and industry-leading 441 cubic feet per minute (CFM), and a 170 MPH blowing speed. This will allow for the easiest movement of debris, and leaves from your yard. This leaf blower is the definition of efficiency, and power. Hitachi has always been a leading manufacturer in it’s respective fields. It doesn’t change here with the leaf blower.
While it may be a gas leaf blower, the commercial grade 23.9 cc 2-stroke engine has outstanding power, and a longer lifespan than most of it’s other gas leaf blower competitors. The Hitachi RB24EAP weighs a measly 8.6 lbs, incredibly lightweight for a gas machine. It is well-balanced for amazing comfort, which will allow for less fatigue while you are working on your projects.
If worried about the lack of reliability with the Hitachi RB24EAP leaf blower, you have no reason to be worried. Rigorously tested in a controlled environment, it has proven to be a long-lasting leaf blower. If something does happen to go wrong, as things do, the Hitachi RB24EAP offers a 7-year consumer use, and a 2-year commercial use warranty. That is absolutely insane for a gas leaf blower.
On a side note, one of our favorite features on the Hitachi RB24EAP leaf blower, as simple as it may be, is the auto-return stop switch. This switch will allow the gas leaf blower to remain in the on position, at all times. It may seem like nothing, but you’d be surprised at how much fatigue will be inflicted on your fingers, and hands if you’re working for hours. Don’t overlook this tiny feature of the Hitachi RB24EAP gas leaf blower.
A 3-in-1 design is what the WORX TRIVAC 12 blower is. The other two features of this blower, are mulching, and vacuuming. Now you have two more ways to get rid of those pesky leaves than the traditional wheelbarrow. Well, I actually use a tarp when removing my leaves. But, after reviewing the WORX TRIVAC 12 blower, I will be upgrading to it to remove the hassle of using a tarp or wheelbarrow. Smart man.
The WORX TRIVAC 12 blower comes with a powerful 12-amp motor that is smell-free, and clean alternative to a gas leaf blower. The only issue with this blower is that requires a cord to use, which turns a lot of people off per stepping on the cord, and requiring additional product to properly use the blower. It has a metal impeller that provides a 18:1 mulch ratio, as well as a bag that has the capacity of 9.6 gallons.
Overall, the WORX TRIVAC 12 is an easy-to-use (1 switch to flip through each of the 3 different actions), in-expensive option if you’re looking for a powerful, and durable blower. It is capable of providing speeds of up to 210 mph, which is not totally practical, but you are capable of switching speeds on it through a variable switcher (75 to 210mph). This is beneficial because when blowing on a specific part of your outside, you may have some fragile parts that you don’t want to inflict harm upon (flower bed). However, the 210 mph speeds will get rid of the wet, and heavy leaves you’re waiting to dry up.
The most expensive on our review of best leaf blowers, is the Poulan Pro 967087101 gas powered leaf blower. This monster is the most consistent leaf blower on our list, but being gas, we have it lower per some of the issues that come with a gas-powered engine.
The leaf blower is powered by a 48CC 2-stroke engine that is capable of putting out 475 cubic feet per minute (CFM), at 200 MPH. You will have a hard time finding something as powerful as the Poulan Pro 967087101. With this gas leaf blower, you will not have to wait to recharge your battery. If you’re expecting to be out for the entire day, the Poulan Pro 967087101 will allow you to do that. It comes with a variable speed throttle control because I know we have all made the mistake of blowing on our flower bed, and then you realize it is just too powerful for those poor flowers.
Our favorite feature of the Poulan Pro 967087101 leaf blower, is the backpack. Too many times I have seen people stop their yard work because they become fatigued by holding a 10 lb leaf blower in their hands, pulling a trigger for 30 minutes to an hour. With the Poulan Pro 967087101 leaf blower, strap that baby to your back and expect to be working for hours. No breaks, means more efficiency. More efficiency means less work in the end, as you will be done more quickly!
If you are looking for the best gas leaf blower on the market, we recommend you buy this one. You won’t be disappointed, as we weren’t. As soon as you turn it on, you will feel the power, and enjoy cleaning your yard. Step up your game with the Poulan Pro 967087101.
